Paras Kalnawat makes his OTT comeback with Campus Beats season 6

Paras Kalnawat has confirmed that he is making his OTT comeback with Campus Beats season 6. The series, streaming on Amazon MX Player, features another TV actor-dancer Shantanu Maheshwari in the lead role. Paras’ last OTT outing was Ishq Aaj Kal, which is streaming on Zee5 (OTTplay Premium). "This is my first OTT show after Ishq Aaj Kal, which was in 2019. As an actor, I look forward to working in every medium," Paras told Variety India. Although he is open to all medium for work, Paras also debated how the Hindi film industry has a bias towards TV actors.

Comparing the work to Hollywood, he shared, "There are so many film stars in Hollywood who work in TV series. No one looks down on them. They are treated with as much respect. Acting is acting at the end of it. In India, there is a certain barrier against TV actors. It is good to see them get work on OTT projects and same kind of respect,"

About Ishq Aaj Kal

A spin-off to Ishq Subhan Allah, Ishq Aaj Kal is a story that revolves around Alia Jaffri, a 24-year-old played by Ankitta Sharma, who is on a mission to learn about what really happened to her mother's murder and where her father is. Her dark past starts interfering with her present life as she works as an intern in a hotel.

Apart from Paras, the TV series features Ankitta Sharma, Angad Hasija, Puneett Chouksey, and Roshmi Banik. The fourth season of the show premiered in late 2019 with the fifth season currently being uncertain.
