Paresh Rawal and Vidhu Vinod Chopra are two of the most popular actors and filmmakers in the industry. In a new interview, the veteran actor revealed that he was almost cast for Chopra's Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, but at the end rejected it because of the filmmaker's attitude. He also mentioned that Vidhu Vinod Chopra ignored people after achieving success.

Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi's Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. is a blockbuster film that is directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Vir Chopra. However, in a new interview with The Lallantop, Paresh Rawal revealed that he was almost cast for the film but had to reject it due to Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
The Phir Hera Pheri actor said, "I was supposed to do Munna Bhai. We were discussing remuneration, and in my head, I wanted Rs 15 lakhs. Vidhu also offered the same number, but the way he said, ‘I’ll give you 15,' to me, I said I will take 50 from you only. I will not take a rupee less." The veteran actor felt upset with the filmmaker's attitude and refused decrease the fees.
He added that artists are built differently. "If you place a hand on my shoulders and ask nicely, I will do a film for even one rupee. But, if you throw around attitude, I won’t accept a role even if I’m paid in crores," the Jigar actor said.
'Vidhu Vinod Chopra ignored people he started off', says Paresh Rawal
Expressing his disappointment over Viddu Vinod Chopra, the Aakrosh actor said that the filmmaker started ignoring the people he started with, especially after becoming big in his career. However, he also mentioned that writers like Abhijat Joshi and filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, who are close to Vinod, remained down-to-earth and respectful.
Meanwhile, Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. was released in 2003. The comedy-romance film received a lot of love and attention from fans. The second instalment of the Munna Bhai film franchise is titled Lage Raho Munna Bhai. Both films star Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi as Munna Bhai and Circuit, respectively.
