Drishyam 3 is one of the most-awaited films, and recently, the makers halted the unveiling of the announcement teaser, which was supposed to be released on October 2. It got postponed due to creative and legal conflicts with the makers of the original Malayalam film, directed and written by Jeethu Joseph, and starring Mohanlal. Amid this, reports also suggested that Paresh Rawal has signed the film. However, the veteran actor denied the reports in a new interview.
Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Paresh Rawal revealed that he was indeed approached for Ajay Devgn's Drishyam 3, but he did not sign the film. When asked if he has bagged a role in the thriller as reports suggested, he replied, “No, I have not. There’s no truth to these reports at all.”
When asked whether he was approached for the film, the Thamma actor said, “Yes, the makers did approach me. But I didn’t feel that the role was suitable for me. Maza nahin aaya (on reading about my part).”
Reviewing the script of Drishyam 3, Rawal said, “But the script is very good. I was really impressed. But even in a compelling script, you need a role that you feel excited about. Warna maza nahin aayega.”
Drishyam 3 Hindi version will see the return of Ajay Devgn. The plot is set to continue from Drishyam 2 and will focus on Vijay's family, promising a final confrontation between the police and the protagonist.
Meanwhile, Paresh Rawal was recently seen in Thamma. Paresh Rawal played Ram Bajaj Goyal, the grumpy but witty father of protagonist Alok (Ayushmann Khurrana). His role provides much of the film's comic relief, and his comedic timing and performance have been widely praised by critics.

Meanwhile, Thamma stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, with Nawazuddin Siddiqui also in the main cast. The story is about a journalist who encounters a mysterious woman and becomes a vampire, or "Betal," which leads him to embrace his dark side to stop an ancient evil.
