From the makers of hit and feel-good films like Tourist Family and Good Night, a new film is loading, the announcement of which was made on Thursday for the occasion of New Year 2026. Starring Pari Elavazhagan who made Jama, and Ramya Ranganathan in the lead roles, the film was launched with a ceremony.

A new film is coming from the makers of last year's hit film Tourist Family. It stars Pari Elavazhagan, an actor and director who made the critically acclaimed film Jama in 2024. Just like that film, Pari Elavazhagan will be starring and directing the upcoming film as well. Pari’s Jama, which had a limited theatrical release, was praised for his performance and portrayed the street theatre artistes’ lives.
The yet to be titled film will also feature dancer, actor, social media influencer Ramya Ranganathan as the female lead. Ramya is known for appearing in one of the leading roles in last year's Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam directed by Dhanush, and will be marking her second acting stint with the upcoming film.
What else do we know about the project?
Adding to the film’s anticipation is the return of veteran actress Roja, who makes her comeback to the big screen after a long hiatus. The film also features an ensemble cast including Chetan (who also appeared in Jama), popular YouTuber Gopi, along with Ismath Banu and Sudharshan Gandhi in key roles.
The film will have music scored by Bharath Sankar, known for his work in Mandela and Maaveeran. With cinematography handled by Shelley R Calist, and editing by Partha, the film is touted to be a light-hearted entertainer.
As per the makers, the film’s story is set in Perambur, and will be a wholesome family entertainer, catering to all age groups. With shooting currently progressing, the makers are planning a theatrical release in summer this year.
