On Saturday, May 13, actor Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha, a prominent Rajya Sabha MP for the Aam Aadmi Party, are all set to get engaged. As per reports, he will attend his engagement wearing an ivory achkan and trousers created by his maternal uncle, Pawan Sachdev. She will be wearing a Manish Malhotra-designed outfit. The event will take place at the sizable Kapurthala House on Mansingh Road, directly across from the Taj Mahal Hotel in Lutyens' Delhi. On May 13, Parineeti's sister, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, will arrive in the nation's capital.

The Sukhmani Sahib, a passage from the Guru Granth Sahib, the Sikh holy book, will be chanted at the engagement ceremony's start time of 5 p.m., followed by the "ardas," or holy prayer. Bollywood stars and politicians, including Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab's Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, are likely to show up there.

When in Kapurthala, the Governor of Punjab and the Chief Minister of Punjab will stay in Kapurthala House. It belonged to Maharaja Paramjit Singh of Kapurthala before the Indian government seized it, and he sold it to a businessman named Radheshyam Makhanlal Seksaria in 1950.

Parineeti's Bandra, Mumbai, flat has been decorated for her upcoming engagement with fairy lights. The actor's Bandra high-rise flat was beautifully illuminated for the occasion, as shown in a video that has now gone viral on the Internet.

After being spotted together in London and Mumbai last month, speculation ramped up that Raghav and Parineeti were a couple. They've been seen leaving eateries and the Mumbai airport together multiple times.

Currently, Parineeti is working on the Imtiaz Ali film Chamkila, in which she co-stars with Diljit Dosanjh. The film reportedly draws inspiration from the life and death of the 1980s-era slain Punjabi musician Amar Singh Chamkila. The film is likely to be an OTT release.
