Parineeti Chopra is gearing up for the release of her much-awaited film, Amar Singh Chamkila, in which she is paired with Diljit Dosanjh. Netflix’s movie, which will premiere on April 12, has audiences excited about Parineeti and Diljit's fresh pairing. Today, the actress shared a photo collage of real and reel versions of Amar Singh Chamkila and Amarjot, the couple that revolutionised music in India. She even called Diljit her "jodidaar" while sharing gratitude for having worked with the Punjabi music star.

Parineeti is feeling proud and has immense gratitude for playing the role of Amar Singh Chamkila’s wife, Amarjot. She is especially grateful to her co-star Diljit, who plays the titular character in the movie that is based on musician Amar Singh Chamkila’s life.
Sharing a photo collage in a video reel, Parineeti gave a glimpse of the real and reel versions of Amar Singh Chamkila and Amarjot.
Saying that she is "privileged" to be a part of the movie, Parineeti wrote on Instagram, "Diljit and I have had the privilege of playing the roles of two legends who changed the music landscape in India... recreating their famous images in the film and seeing them again today gives me goosebumps.”
In the same post, the actress also expressed gratitude and excitement abotu sharing screen space with Punjabi heartthrob Diljit, whom she adorably calls her "jodidaar" (partner).
“Cannot wait to share the world of Chamkila with everyone. Wouldn't have been the same without my jodidaar Diljit Dosanjh," Parineeti added.
Parineeti had earlier shared a BTS video from the sets of Amar Singh Chamkila.

Helmed by Imtiaz Ali with music by AR Rahman, Amar Singh Chamkila is based on the late singer Amar Singh Chamkila and depicts the challenges faced by him in his short life. Diljit plays the titular character of the legendary musician, who was credited as Punjab's highest-selling artist until he was killed at age 27. Parineeti plays Amarjot, his wife and collaborator.
