Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra is all set to kick up a storm in her upcoming action-thriller titled Code Name: Tiranga. The film is directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and also stars Harrdy Sandhu. The actress will be seen in the character of a spy in the film, so comparisons with the Alia Bhatt starrer Raazi seem inevitable. However, Parineeti claims that the worlds of the two films are completely different.

Set in Turkey, Code Name: Tiranga revolves around a RAW agent, played by Parineeti, who is on a mission and how she achieves her goal despite several difficulties. Alia Bhatt's Raazi had a similar premise wherein she essayed the role of a Kashmiri girl named Sehmat, who gets married to a Pakistani Army officer as part of a mission to decode the plans to protect her country.

During the trailer preview of the film on Tuesday in Mumbai, Parineeti was asked about the possible comparisons. The actress told the media persons, "I hope people do not compare these two films because firstly, in our Code Name: Tiranga, I am not a spy, I am a RAW agent. There is a difference. I hope there is no similarity that the audience finds between me and Alia in the film because these two films are really unique."

Referring to the presence of a common factor between the two films, Rajit Kapur, Parineeti also added, "We have Rajit sir in the film who was also in Raazi. We were conscious of not creating any similarity even though there is a love story involved as part of the narrative."

In the film, the audience will get to watch a beautiful love story between Parineeti and popular Punjabi singer-actor Harrdy Sandhu. Directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, the film also features Sharad Kelkar, Rajit Kapur, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Shishir Sharma, and Sabyasachi Chakraborty among others.

Code Name: Tiranga is all set to hit the theatres on October 14. As per recent reports, the film will also be available to stream on Netflix post its theatrical run.
