Lovebirds Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha were recently spotted at the Mahakaleshwar (also known as Mahakal) temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. The couple was seen there ahead of their wedding. They went to seek the blessings of Lord Mahadev on Saturday and offered prayers through a small puja. Videos from their visit have been making rounds of the internet and are currently going viral.

Details of their visit

Raghav and Parineeti had to sit in the Nandihal since entry inside the temple is prohibited during Shravan. Yash Guru performed the puja at the temple. He revealed to ANI that the couple heard the Rudra Sukta and Shanti Path, which is performed by the Brahmins. Parineeti Chopra was seen in a pink saree and Raghav donned a yellow dhoti. He covered his upper half with a blessed red dupatta.

All we know about the wedding so far

The big fat wedding will take place in Rajasthan in September. According to Times of India, the couple will get married on September 25, 2023. They are likely to take their pheras at The Oberoi Udaivilas in Udaipur. Parineeti is likely to begin prep for her wedding from the first week of September. After they tie the knot, Raghav and Parineeti are expected to throw a wedding reception in Gurugram for friends and family.

Parineeti and Raghav got engaged in the Kapurthala house in New Delhi on May 13. Parineeti’s cousin sister and renowned actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas flew down from the US to attend the ceremony. The other guests included Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann.

Raghav Chadha suspended from the Rajya Sabha

Raghav is now a former member of the Aam Aadmi Party. He was suspended from the Rajya Sabha after complaints of fraud. Confirming the ‘breach of privilege’ charge, Raghav changed his Instagram bio to ‘Suspended member of Parliament, India.’ Relieved of his duties (at least temporarily), Raghav has joined Parineeti and her team in the wedding preparations.
