You will be reminded of Raj Kapoor and Nargis
Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha have finally unveiled their photos from the wedding and the internet cannot get over it. However, at the same time, many videos from their wedding are also going viral. One such video is of the bride and groom entering the mandap. Their cool entry had a Shree 420 and Sushant Singh Rajput connection.
What is the Shree 420 connection
The wedding was themed around Bollywood and a big sign that screams Bollywood is Raj Kapoor and Nargis’ iconic umbrella scene in Shree 420, which is also the logo of RK Studios. Parineeti and Raghav tried to create something similar. They walked under the one transparent umbrella towards their wedding mandap. They danced while walking down the aisle, towards the mandap. Parineeti even donned a veil which had Raghav’s name embedded in it.
And the Sushant Singh Rajput connection?
The couple chose an iconic song from Sushant Singh Rajput’s film Kai Po Che. The track is called Shubhaarambh and featured in Sushant’s debut Bollywood film, which was based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel, The 3 Mistakes of My Life. The movie featured Rajkummar Rao, Amit Sadh and Amrita Puri in the lead roles, apart from Sushant.
Parineeti and Sushant connection
Parineeti had worked with the late actor in Shudh Desi Romance. The film also featured Vaani Kapoor as the second lead. Back then, Parineeti and Sushant’s track Tere Mere Beech Mein became immensely popular. The film was Sushant’s second film as the male lead and first with the banner, YRF. It was the two movies that brought SSR the tag of ‘next SRK.’ While his acting was obviously appreciated immensely, Sushant became a household name after portraying MS Dhoni on screen.
The RagNeeti wedding
Raghav and Parineeti got married on Sunday mid-afternoon. They, however, released their images only on Monday, late in the morning. Parineeti and Raghav have hosted their wedding reception too and are in back in Delhi, where Raghav stays in the Kapurthala house. The couple had got engaged there in May this year.
