Raghav Chadha, the head of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and actress Parineeti Chopra wed yesterday (24th September) in Udaipur. While the couple's friends and relatives travelled in for the lavish destination wedding, Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti's cousin, gave it a miss.
Although Priyanka Chopra, Pari's elder cousin, was expected to attend the wedding, she was not present at the ceremony. Now, PeeCee's mother, Madhu Chopra revealed why the actress was unable to attend the wedding in India.
Why did Priyanka Chopra miss Parineeti's wedding?
At the airport, while taking pictures of Madhu, photographers questioned her about the actress' absence. Madhu said, 'She was busy with work'. She responded, 'Very good,' when the paparazzi asked her how she liked the wedding. She was then asked by another paparazzi to comment on how Parineeti looked on her wedding day, to which Priyanka's mom said that 'She’s (Parineeti) anyway so beautiful, she looked prettier at the wedding'.
Parineet and Raghav's wedding
On Sunday night in Udaipur, Parineeti and Raghav were married in a lavish ceremony. In front of their loved ones and close friends, the couple, who have been dating for a while, exchanged vows. Photos and videos from the wedding location gave the impression that Raghav wore an ivory outfit for the auspicious day, despite the fact that Parineeti's wedding attire is still a secret.
Big figures like Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal attended the wedding. Manish Malhotra, Sanya Mirza, Harbhajan Singh with his wife Geeta and Aaditya Thackeray were also present for their big day. On the afternoon of September 24, the bride and groom were wed and the vidai took place around 6 p.m.
Late on Sunday night, a picture of the newlyweds went viral on social media. Parineeti was seen wearing a pink saree and accessorized with sindoor and chooda in the picture. Raghav, on the other hand, was seen sporting a tuxedo.
