Parineeti Chopra reveals why Meri Pyaari Bindu was overshadowed by Baahubali

Parineeti Chopra is preparing to make her long-awaited return to the big screen in Mission Raniganj, a survival thriller directed by Tinu Suresh Desai and starring Akshay Kumar. 

The actress, who is also gearing up for her wedding have given us amazing performances with a number of films. In a recent interview the Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl actress revealed that she still receives love and appreciation for her romance drama Meri Pyaari Bindu, despite the movie's box office failure.

Meri Pyaari Bindu Vs Baahubali

Speaking to Radio Nasha, the actress was asked which of her films, in her opinion, deserved more appreciation throughout the conversation. She said: “Meri Pyaari Bindu released alongside Baahubali and hence did not get love then. But that’s the film that I get the most love for today. And that’s what matters. There are many films like this that don’t make the numbers at that time, but they always find you.”

Parineeti continued by saying that every movie acquires a life of its own. She said that she have a feeling that the audience will find it someplace. Any movie, excellent or horrible, gets noticed, in her opinion. Some movies won't perform well at the box office. However, it will be seen for years and eventually become a cult classic. On the other side, some movies succeed greatly because they were released at the proper time, even though they were probably not the best pictures, Parineeti said.

Parineeti on people asking her if she can speak English

The actress also recalled how after playing a small-town role in a project, people would question her over her command of the English language. She said, “It’s crazy. After I did some small-town role, people started coming up to me and saying ‘Oh, you speak English? You know how to speak English?’ I felt that was bizarre. How would you assume that I don’t speak English?”
