Parivarik ManuRanjan: Pankaj Tripathi and Aditi Rao Hydari to bring love and laughter to Lucknow

Filming for the situational comedy Parivarik ManuRanjan starring Pankaj Tripathi and Aditi Rao Hydari, formally began in Lucknow today, June 5. With the first-ever collaboration of the actors, the film promises to combine comedy and emotion in a story focused on a family.

Everyday humour meets cultural backdrop

The film attempts to depict a story based on everyday life, blending anarchy, comedy, and poignant moments; it is set in Lucknow, a city famous for its cultural heritage and delicious food. The urban setting is crucial in developing the story's characters.

Bhanushali Studios Limited and AAZ Films have begun working together on this project. Producers Vinod Bhanushali and Himanshu Mehra are behind it, and creative producer Ali Abbas Zafar is in charge. Brijendra Kala and Varun Sharma collaborated on the screenplay, while Varun V. Sharma directed the film.

Pankaj Tripathi on why the script won him over

In a statement, Pankaj Tripathi explained, "There was something so charmingly simple and yet irresistibly funny about the script that I couldn’t say no. It’s the kind of story that sneaks up on you with its warmth. This is my first time working with Aditi, and I’ve always admired her craft towards acting. Also excited to creatively partner with Varun Sharma and Ali Abbas Zafar and producers Vinod Bhanushali and Himanshu Mehra, who are backing a story like this."

The film's female protagonist, Aditi Rao Hydari, expressed a similar view. She stated, "When I read the script, I smiled through it. For me it’s rare to come across a story in this universe.
