Tollywood actor Partha Sarathi Deb breathed his last on Friday in a hospital, where he has been admitted for the last few days. Partha Sarathi, 68, had a robust acting career for more than 40 years.
The actor was the vice president of the West Bengal Motion Picture Artists’ Forum. The forum released a statement on Friday night, mourning its beloved Parthada’s death. The statement said, “We state with deep regret that veteran actor and forum's vice president Partha Sarathi Dev breathed his last at 11.50 pm on March 22. The forum mourns his untimely death.”
The statement also said that Partha Sarathi's body will be brought to the Technician's Studio at noon on Saturday. His colleagues, fans, and loved ones can pay tribute to him there.
Partha Sarathi has been suffering from COPD for a long time. He had a lung infection and caught pneumonia. The infection spread to his chest. He was admitted to Bangur Hospital on February 9. He was in ventilation. Previously, the actor was admitted to the hospital for a long time in 2021, suffering from Covid.
Partha Sarathi acted in several popular movies like Kakababu Here Gelen, Lathi, and Prem Amar. He also acted in the series Satyajiter Goppo on television. He was seen in the films Dhrubo Banerjee’s Bogla Mama Jug Jug Jio and Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy’s Raktobeej. He was recently divorced from his wife and has been living alone since then. He kept himself away from serials for the last few years, but some of his films’ dubbing is still due.
