Parthiban at Cannes for Iravin Nizhal trailer launch

The trailer of Parthiban's Iravin Nizhal (Shadow of the Night) was launched at twilight on May 22 at Cannes Film Festival. Parthiban, who is gearing up for the red carpet at the film festival, shared a sneak peek of the team on his social media handle. He captioned it saying, "Getting ready for Red carpet (sic). The trailer was launched by actor Madhavan in the presence of the film's music composer AR Rahman.

Iravin Nizhal is said to be the world's first non-linear single-shot film and is all set to release on June 24 worldwide. The star cast includes Parthiban, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Robo Shankar, Priyanka Ruth, Brigida Saga, Sneha Kumar, Anand Krishnan, Chandru and others. While the cinematography is by Arthur Wilson, editing is by Craig Mann of Whiplash fame. 

Parthiban had shared yesterday that the trailer will be launched at Festival De Cannes. He had shared the poster and captioned it, "IN Cannes #FestivalDeCannes #Cannes2022 @festivaldecannes @iravinnizhalthemovie #SingleShotFilm #WorldsFirstNonLinearSingleShot #ComingSoon #WorldsFirst #arrahman #radhakrishnanparthiban #asiabookofrecords #indiabookofrecords (sic)."

AR Rahman, who has composed the music for the film, had earlier stated that it was the script of Iravin Nizhal and Parthiban's passion for filmmaking and attempting new things that made him come on board.

A promo from the film was released recently, in which we see Parthiban in his popular avatar of delivering dialogues in a witty style. We get a glimpse of Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, too. The film's running time spans 100 minutes and was entirely filmed on a single shot. In the meantime, Parthiban is being lauded for his unique attempt at storytelling. In the recent promo. 

He had written on his social media page, "aking to his social media page, Parthiban wrote, "New promo of Iravin Nizhal is out now! The film has been mentioned in the Asia and India book of records even before its release. (sic)."
