Parthiban's much-awaited film, Iravin Nizhal is all set to release on June 24 worldwide. Iravin Nizhal (Shadow of the night) is said to be the world's first non-linear single shot film and has music by AR Rahman. The star cast for the film includes Parthiban, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Robo Shankar, Priyanka Ruth, Brigida Saga, Sneha Kumar, Anand Krishnan, Chandru and others. While the cinematography is by Arthur Wilson, editing is by Craig Mann of Whiplash fame.

Parthiban shared a video of the Academy Award winner on his social media page, in which Craig is seen saying, "Parthiban's achievement on this film is quite something. The technical skill that it took to pull this off is very impressive." Parthiban had then written that he never thought while watching Whiplash that once day he will be working with the film.

Ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam had unveiled the first-look posters of the film in March. AR Rahman, who has composed the music for the film, had said that it was the script of Iravin Nizhal and Parthiban's passion for filmmaking and attempting new things that made him come on board.

He had also stated that he was taken aback by the way portions were being canned. The composer who had visited the set during the shoot, said,"Usually in films, many shots are cut for flashback portions, transitioned, dissolved et al. Here, everything had to rehearsed, including the placement of camera, lens, music etc. Even if one person sneezed on the set, the entire shot had to be redone. "

Iravin Nizhal team had recently released a new promo, in which we see Parthiban delivering dialogues and punches, in his trademark witty style. We get a glimpse of Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, too. The film's running time spans 100 minutes and was entirely filmed on a single shot.Art direction is by RK Vijai Murugan.
