It looks like Parthiban's experimental film Oththa Seruppu Size 7 is all set to be made in Hollywood. The actor revealed the same at a reality show that he took part in recently. Oththa Seruppu is a film that stars only Parthiban. It was produced, written and directed by Parthiban under the banner of Bioscope Film Framers. The film has only one song as well, which was composed by Santhosh Narayanan. The background score was by CS Sathya. The film premiered at the Singapore South Asian Film Festival on 30 August, 2019.

The film won critical acclaim for the concept and the way it was made. Oththa Seruppu was the first Tamil film to be remade in Indonesia. The only other Indian film that was remade there was Drishyam. The plot revolves around Masilamani (Parthiban), a suspect in a murder case, who is taken into custody by the cops for investigation. Interestingly, the film is being remade in Hindi with Abhishek Bachchan playing the lead. The Hindi version titled Single Slipper Size 7 is directed by Parthiban as well.

In the meantime, Parthiban is awaiting the release of his non-linear single-shot film Iravin Nizhal (Shadow of the Night). The star cast for the film includes Parthiban, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Robo Shankar, Priyanka Ruth, Brigida Saga, Sneha Kumar, Anand Krishnan, Chandru and others. The film has music by AR Rahman. While the cinematography is by Arthur Wilson, award-winning Craig Mann of Whiplash fame is handling the editing. Parthiban had earlier shared a video of the Academy Award winner on his social media page, in which Craig is seen saying, "Parthiban's achievement on this film is quite something. The technical skill that it took to pull this off is very impressive." The trailer of Iravin Nizhal was screened at Cannes and the film is set to release on July 15.
