Pathaam Valavu poster: Indrajith plays a cop and Suraj Venjaramoodu a prisoner in M Padmakumar's thriller

The intriguing first look poster of director M Padmakumar’s next thriller titled Pathaam Valavu was released by the top stars of Mollywood including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Asif Ali, Jayasurya and Tovino Thomas, today through their social media pages.

The poster of the movie, starring Indrajith Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu, also revealed a bit about the characters the stellar duo will be playing in the film scripted by Abhilash Pillai. Indrajith will be essaying a cop in the film while Suraj Venjaramoodu plays a prisoner. The poster places one in front of iron bars while the other behind.

In an earlier interview with OTTplay, Abhilash had told us that the film is based on a true event that shook Kerala a few years ago. While the makers have taken cinematic liberty, the movie is essentially a thriller with enough layers of emotions to appeal to the family audience as well, said the scriptwriter, who is making his Mollywood debut with the film. Abhilash had also co-scripted Cadaver, the Tamil forensic thriller starring Amala Paul.

Apart from Indrajith and Suraj, the movie, which had completed shooting recently, also has Aditi Ravi and Swasika Vijay as part of the cast. Ranjin Raj will be composing the music of the film, which has DOP Shaji Kumar’s long-time associate Ratheesh Ram as its cinematographer.

M Padmakumar, who had helmed Joseph and Mamangam, meanwhile is also in talks to helm the Bollywood remake of Joseph with Sunny Deol in the lead. The director had earlier directed the Tamil remake of Joju George-starrer titled Visithiran.
