Pathaan 2 update: YRF to begin shooting Shah Rukh Khan's film in Chile? Here's everything we know

Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan 2 might be going on floors soon. The sequel to the superhit from 2023 is likely to commence shoot in Chile. An actor, not currently associated with the movie which became one of the highest grossing film of the year (Pathaan), confirmed the news, while spilling details about the coming film. Here's everything we know so far...

Pathaan 2 to be shot in Chile?

The President of Chile, His Excellency Gabriel Boric Font, spoke to filmmakers about the possibility of shooting their movies in Chile. He was in Mumbai, when actor-filmmaker Anshuman Jha (Mastram), expressed his desire to shoot for his movie Lakadbagga 3 in Chile. During his conversation with Mid-Day, the Abhay actor also confirmed that Pathaan 2 is in talks for shooting in Chile.

Pathaan 2 shoot to commence in 2026

"There are concrete conversations of Pathaan 2 by Yash Raj Films and Lakadbaggha 3 being shot in Chile next year," Jha said. With that, he confirmed that Pathaan 2 will also go on floors in 2026.

About Pathaan and Lakadbaggha

Starring Piku actor Deepika Padukone and John Abraham alongside SRK, Pathaan was one of the highest grossing films of 2023. The Siddharth Anand directorial crossed Rs. 500 crore mark and with it, the movie beat the record of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion as well. While there were speculations about Pathaan 2 thus far, we finally have something concrete on the film.

Lakadbaggha, on the other hand, is produced by Anshuman Jha and features him alongside Ridhi Dogra and Paresh Pahuja. It is about the love for animals and got critical acclaim across the world. Lakadbaggha 2, which also released in January 2023 like Pathaan, was shot in Indonesia and now the third installment will be filming in Chile.
