Pathaan controversy continues: Bajrang Dal demands removal of Besharam Rang from Shah Rukh Khan starrer, some support the film

Pathaan's groovy song Besharam Rang sparked controversy as soon as it was released by the makers. A few politicians and right-wing organizations including Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal expressed their disappointment on the track over Deepika Padukone's saffron bikini, while now they have demanded the removal of the whole song from the Shah Rukh Khan starrer.

Recently, a few members of Bajrang Dal and Vishva Hindu Parishad were also seen vandalising and destroying Pathaan's posters outside a theatre inside a mall in Gujarat. Reportedly, they also mentioned that they would not allow the screening of the YRF film in Gujarat unless their problems over its song Besharam Rang are resolved.

Featuring SRK and Deepika, the glamorous track was released on December 12. Crooned by Shilpa Rao, Caralisa Monteiro, Vishal and Sheykhar, Besharam Rang has already reached over 50 million views on YouTube in less than a month.

While some people are creating havoc due to a saffron bikini, a few people from the industry came in support of the YRF film.

The Raees fame director Rahul Dholakia shared a video by ANI featuring the Bajrang Dal and VHP members creating a ruckus in a mall against the film. He posted the clip and wrote, "This is not “protesting “ it’s called vandalism & hooliganism! (Sic)."

The forthcoming action-thriller flick also has Ashutosh Rana, Gautam Rode, Dimple Kapadia, Siddhant Ghegadmal, Shaji Choudhary, Gavie Chahal and Salman Khan in key roles.

However, the makers of Pathaan stand still with the release date of the film and it is all set to hit theatres on January 25, 2023.
