Pathaan is the first Indian film to be screened in Bangladesh (yes, since Bangladesh was formed in 1971). Initially, Salman Khan’s Wanted was going to be screened there. However, the movie was banned after a protest group resisted showcasing of Indian films in order to preserve their own culture. Now that the restrictions have eased down, Pathaan is finally screening in Bangladesh.
Shah Rukh Khan’s film has been a blockbuster in India. The movie is the highest-grossing film of 2023 with no real competition yet.
Pathaan is SRK-YRF’s collaboration for the Spy Universe. It also includes Salman Khan’s Tiger. Further in the franchise, SRK will be seen in Tiger 3 and later, in Pathaan vs Tiger.
