PremiumPathaan on OTT: Prime Video finally drops a midnight surprise on the Shah Rukh Khan actioner's online release date
Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand, is making its way to OTT almost 60 days after its theatrical release.

That day has finally arrived! Prime Video has, at last, made an official announcement of the OTT release of Pathaan. The Siddharth Anand high-octane action thriller, which features Shah Rukh Khan in the titular role, is all set to make its digital release on March 22, 2023. The YRF film, also starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, is dropping on OTT nearly 60 days after its theatrical release.
Prime Video took to their social media pages to announce it. They shared the Pathaan poster and wrote, "We sense turbulence in the weather; after all, Pathaan is coming! #PathaanOnPrime, March 22 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu @iamsrk @deepikapadukone @thejohnabraham #SiddharthAnand @yrf."
Pathaan has become the all-time number-one Hindi film worldwide, and it kept collecting even in its eighth weekend!
On its eighth weekend, Pathaan made Rs. 0.98 crore nett in India (Rs. 0.95 crore in Hindi and Rs. 0.03 crore for all dubbed versions). Here’s the daywise breakdown:
Friday: Rs. 0.21 crore nett in India (Hindi: Rs. 0.20 crore; all dub versions: Rs. 0.01 crore).
Saturday: Rs. 0.31 crore nett in India (Hindi: Rs. 0.30 crore; all dubbed versions: Rs. 0.01 crore)
Sunday: Rs. 0.46 crore nett in India (Hindi: Rs. 0.45 crore; all dubbed versions: Rs. 0.01 crore)
Pathaan's nett collection in India stands at Rs. 541.96 crore (Hindi: Rs. 523.35 crore, dubbed: Rs. 18.61 crore)! The total worldwide gross is an incredible Rs. 1048.30 crore (India gross: Rs. 656.20 crore; overseas gross: Rs. 392.10 crore, which is US$ 47.75 million).
The Hindi version of the movie has raked in approximately Rs. 90 crore nett, which is a record by a wide margin. If the dubbed versions are also included, it becomes the first movie in South India to gross over Rs 100 crore. Again, despite South Indian advertisements making this amount appear small, very few movies really gross more than Rs. 100 crore there. After the pandemic, 12–13 movies, including Pathaan and Avatar: The Way of Water, may be released online.
