Although everyone was anticipating Pathaan's OTT announcement this week, Prime Video dropped a midnight surprise altogether. The streaming platform took to its social media pages and shared the exciting news that the action thriller starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham will be out on March 22, 2023. Now, Prime Video has released a video with the star and Bhuvan Bam to make the announcement official.

In the video, Shah Rukh is seen mouthing lines about Pathaan's OTT excitement, but he doesn't get the kick that he needs. Bhuvan jumps in and suggests a few quirky lines, which still don't go with the superstar. Soon after that, SRK flexes his muscles and almost gives a glimpse into his chiselled abs, but stops midway. Well, he knows that his presence is enough for millions of his fans to catch up with Pathaan on OTT too.

Check out the video below:

Based on a story by Siddharth Anand, Shridhar Raghavan and Abbas Tyrewala wrote the action-thriller movie Pathaan. Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana also appear in the fourth movie in the YRF Spy Universe.

In the film, Pathaan, an exiled RAW agent (Khan), works with ISI agent Rubina Mohsin (Padukone) to take down Jim (Abraham), a former RAW agent planning to spread a deadly lab-generated virus across India.

Pathaan came out in theatres in India on January 25, 2023, which was the weekend of Republic Day. The movie got good reviews from critics, who liked the action scenes, music, and acting. The film has grossed Rs. 1,048.30 crore (US$130 million) worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film of 2023, the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, the fifth-highest-grossing Indian film of all time, the eighth-highest grossing film of 2023, and setting several other box office records in India and for a Hindi-language film.
