Pathaan, from Aditya Chopra's Yash Raj Films and helmed by Siddharth Anand, is a groundbreaking box office success. With over Rs. 1050 crores at the global box office, it is the highest-grossing film in Hindi cinema history. The film will be the first Hindi film to be released in Bangladesh since the partition, and it stars India's biggest international superstar, Shah Rukh Khan. May 12 will mark its debut in Bangladesh.

Nelson D'Souza, Vice President, International Distribution, said in a statement that cinema has always been a unifying force between nations, races, and cultures. It is universal, inspires action, and helps bring people together in meaningful ways. They are overjoyed that Pathaan, which has broken box office records elsewhere, will finally get to perform for audiences in Bangladesh.

He continued by saying that Pathaan becomes the first Hindi film to release in Bangladesh post-1971, and they are thankful to the authorities for their decision. Pathaan, their latest offering from YRF's Spy Universe, is the appropriate debut film of SRK and Hindi cinema to release in the country and reflect Indian culture and cinema in all its grandeur, as they have learned over the years thanks to the superstar's enormous fan following in Bangladesh.

In the legendary YRF's Spy Universe, which also includes such hits as Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, and War, Pathaan is the highest-grossing film to date.

In Pathaan, Indian RAW agent "Pathaan" (Shah Rukh Khan) learns of a huge strike planned against India by a mercenary gang led by the mysterious and merciless Jim (John Abraham), who has a mysterious past. Time is running out as Pathaan takes on Jim, and all he has to rely on for support is a mysterious operative named Rubai (Deepika Padukone).

The film marked Shah Rukh's return to the films after a four-year hiatus. This was the first time the superstar shared screen space with John, who played the main antagonist.
