Pathala Pathala from Vikram becomes the single most viewed video on YouTube in the past 24 hours

The first single, Pathala Pathala, from Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's Vikram was released recently. The song, which is penned and crooned by Kamal Haasan himself has become a smash hit going by the likes it has been receiving on social media. Now, the latest we hear is that Pathala Pathala has become the single most viewed video on YouTube in the past 24 hours.

It was only yesterday that the film's production house has revealed that song has crossed 10 million views since it was released on Wednesday evening. The film's production house, took to its social media page, to announce the news. "1️⃣0️⃣ MILLION views for #PathalaPathala from #Vikram 🔥 #VikramFirstSingle #KamalHaasan #VikramFromJune @ikamalhaasan @anirudhofficial @SonyMusicSouth @Udhaystalin @Dir_Lokesh @VijaySethuOffl #FahadhFaasil #Mahendran @RKFI @turmericmediaTM @anbariv @iamSandy_Off @RedGiantMovies_ (sic)."

It was the film's music composer Anirudh, who revealed that the Ulaganayagan had penned and sung the song. Taking to his social media page, he wrote, "Ulaganayagan @ikamalhaasan sir writes and sings #PathalaPathala 🥳🥳🥳 What a session! Thank you sir 😃😃😃 #Vikram first single from May 11th day after 🥁🥁🥁 @Dir_Lokesh ❤️❤️❤️ @RKFI (sic)."

Kamal Haasan, too, was all praise for the composer. He replied, saying, "All the while I was thinking about what a great lineage you belong to. From your great grandfather to YOU, what abundant talents and achievements in one family. You are truly living up to your family standards of excellence. More power to you my young friend. (sic)."

Meanwhile, the Vikram team is gearing up for the audio and trailer launch to be held on May 15 in Chennai. The film, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, features Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Narain, Shanavi Srivatsava, Kalidas Jayaram, Shivani Narayanan, Hareesh Peradi, and Gayathrie Shankar, in pivotal roles. Vikram is all set to hit screens on June 3 and the digital rights have been snapped by Disney + Hostar.
