The first single from the Kamal Haasan-starrer, Pathala Pathala, will be out today (May 11), at 7 pm. The actor-producer himself has crooned and written lyrics for the number, composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Impressed by the tune, Kamal Haasan was all praise for the Kolaveri boy, on Twitter. Ulaganayagan had mentioned Anirudh has been living up to his family's standards of excellence.
The young music director thanked Kamal and shared photos taken with him during the recording session. Vikram's director Lokesh Kanagaraj was also seen.
The Internet is abuzz with the pictures of Kamal Haasan in the Vikram poster, shaking a leg. It is no secret that the actor himself has been a choreographer for several songs, before making it big as a hero. The last time we saw Ulaganayagan dance was in Uttama Villain for 'Single kiss-kay Love-a', along with Pooja Kumar. Though Vishwaroopam 1 saw him dance for a Kathak song, it has been a while since, we witnessed him in a kuthu number, like 'Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru' from Vasool Raja MBBS, or 'Raja Kaiya Vecha' from Apoorva Sagotharargal.
Vikram, co-written by Lokesh Kanagaraj and Rathna Kumar, also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil, Narain, Shanavi Srivatsava, Kalidas Jayaram, Shivani Narayanan, Hareesh Peradi, and Gayathrie Shankar, in pivotal roles.
Vikram, the 232nd film of Kamal Haasan, is bankrolled by Raaj Kamal International along with R Mahendran. The film will have a theatrical release on June 3. It has cinematography by Girish Gangadharan and stunt choreography by Anbariv. The caption of the film, ‘There lived a ghost’ indicates that Vikram is an action thriller in which Kamal Haasan's character is out to track down a serial killer.
Vikram was also the title of a 1986 action-adventure film directed by Rajasekhar, starring Kamal Haasan, Dimple Kapadia, Lissy, Ambika and Sathyaraj, among others. The film turned out to be a blockbuster, crossing 100 days of run at the box office.
