Pathu Thala director Obeli N Krishna recently dropped Silambarasan's latest picture from the set and fans have been sharing it widely on the internet. The picture is said to be from a dance sequence in the film, going by his tweet. Simbu is seen sporting a beard and is seen against the backdrop of what looks like a Thiruvizha. The director's tweet read, "Our Energetic #AGR burning the floor with his inspirational dance. Filming now for #pathuthala @SilambarasanTR_ @StudioGreen2 @kegvraja @arrahman @NehaGnanavel @Gautham_Karthik @iamSandy_Off @PenMovies (sic)." The song is choreographed by Sandy Master and the music is composed by AR Rahman.
The shoot for the film was wrapped a week ago and the song sequence remained pending. Silambarasan, too, had announced the same with a picture, which he captioned as, "It’s a schedule wrap for #PathuThala #Atman (sic)." His portions had got delayed as Simbu had to fly to the US to take care of his father, actor and director T Rajenderr's medical treatment.
Pathu Thala is a remake of the Kannada film Mufti and stars Gautham Karthik, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Kalaiyarasan. This is the first time that Simbu and Gautham Karthik are teaming up for a film. The Kannada version was a neo noir action thriller directed by Narthan, a debutant. The plot revolved around a police officer played by Srimurali, who takes on a dreaded underworld don, which was essayed by Shivarajkumar. The film, which hit screens in December 2017, was a huge hit at the box office. It seems like Krishna has made changes in the Tamil version to suit the script.
In the meantime, social media is abuzz with the news that Simbu recently met Ajith in Chennai. Simbu is a huge fan of the Thunivu actor and has spoken about his admiration for him quite often. Though there is no official confirmation about the same, fans are eagerly awaiting the picture of the duo's meeting.
