For the past several months, Mammootty has been out of the spotlight due to circulating reports regarding the state of his health. It has now been announced that the Malayalam megastar would soon start filming his highly anticipated movie, Patriot, much to the delight of his fans.
Mammootty to resume shooting for Patriot
Producer Anto Joseph announced on social media that the actor will begin working on the movie's Hyderabad schedule on October 1. He posted on Facebook, "The prayers and presence of mind of people all over the world withstood an unforeseen hiatus."
Patriot is being directed by Mahesh Narayanan, who previously helmed acclaimed movies such as Take Off and CU Soon. Fans have been anxiously awaiting news about the film. The cast also includes Mohanlal, Nayanthara, Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, and Darshana Rajendran in pivotal roles. The director disclosed in an exclusive interview with OTTplay that the film has already finished multiple schedules in the United Arab Emirates, Sri Lanka, and other regions of India.
Approximately 65–70% of the film's production is complete. According to him, the most of its unfinished parts would be filmed in Kerala and the UK. Mohanlal was said to have finished his parts of the movie earlier. According to Mahesh, Mammootty, has already spent forty-five days filming the project.
Mammootty's return after full recovery
When it was revealed last month that Mammootty, who was reportedly undergoing treatment for a medical condition, was returning to the public eye, there was a buzz of enthusiasm in Kerala. The first person to post on Mammootty's recovery was Anto Joseph, who thanked God excessively and said that everyone's prayers had finally been answered.
