The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Patriot, have dropped its teaser today (October 2). The film, which is helmed by renowned director Mahesh Narayanan, is one of the most anticipated Malayalam movies of the year, and cinephiles are undoubtedly excited.

The one-minute-21-second video begins with Fahadh Faasil's character saying, "I remember my father saying there was a time when this nation was controlled by the two of them. Together. Over all these years, what they earned wasn't just followers...Faith!."
Dr. Daniel James and Col. Rahim Naik, who are attempting to halt an illicit operation, are soon spotted by viewers. "There are three of us..Can you stop us?" is another warning made by Mohanlal's character, Col Rahim Naik, implying that there is a third character who is not yet established, in addition to him and Mammootty as Dr. Daniel James. While Kunchacko Boban is seen mentioning dreadfully about a project called 'Periscope,' Nayanthara's character is also seen describing an application that is a part of the student laptop scheme.
On the whole, it hints at a power-packed action thriller from the Big M's of Mollywood as well as Fahadh Faasil and Kunchacko Boban. A glimpse into Darshana Rajendran and Revathy's characters is also shown. Revathy is playing a prominent politician in this movie.
All about Mahesh Narayanan's Patriot
The film would hit theatres in April 2026 as a Vishu release, though an exact release date is yet to be announced. After taking a break, Mammootty began working on Patriot from Hyderabad on October 1. Mahesh Narayanan earlier stated in an exclusive interview with OTTplay that the film has already finished many schedules in India, Sri Lanka, and the United Arab Emirates. According to the director, Mammootty has already completed 45 days of filming and will complete the remaining days in the days ahead. Sushin Shyam has composed the music for this highly anticipated project, which is written by the director himself.
