Paurashpur 2's Sherlyn Chopra on receiving indecent proposals from directors: ‘They asked me if I've had surgeries on...’

Bollywood star Sherlyn Chopra, who will soon be headlining the web series, Paurashpur 2, has opened up on why it is difficult for women to survive in this workspace. The 36-year-old even mentioned that she has been a victim of the casting couch, especially if one is an outsider in the industry.

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Sherlyn Chopra shared about facing indecent proposals from directors. "Directors asked me if I've had surgeries on my breasts...Then they'd say things like 'Can we touch them? What is the cup size?'," she added. "I wondered if people go to theatres only after finding out about an actress' cup size?" Sherlyn said.

The actor even mentioned her struggle in the industry without any parental support. The star even mentions that she is not in touch with any of her family members.

“I am no longer in touch with any of my family members. Although I have my mother, sister and her in-laws, brother and a sister-in-law, we haven’t spoken in quite some time. I don’t miss them,” said Sherlyn.

The actress added, “I had disagreements with them regarding religion, culture, and profession. I was often told not to try to be a star and to behave like a common person when I met them. But why? Why should I act like a common person when I believe I am a star? I disagreed with them.”

Interestingly, in July 2012, Chopra became the first Indian woman to pose nude for Playboy magazine. She was then selected to host the sixth season of the show MTV Splitsvilla.
