Pavitra Rishta 2.0: Ekta Kapoor and Ankita Lokhande are looking forward to the release of the upcoming web series on ZEE5

Ekta Kapoor took to social media recently, to post a video that gave a recap of the much-loved television soap drama, Pavitra Rishta over the years. It is all set to come out this September on the ZEE5 platform. It stars Ankita Lokhande and Shaheer Sheikh as the new on-screen pair.

The video posted by Ekta makes the viewers reminisce about the OG cast of the show, where Manav was initially portrayed by Sushant after Hiten Tejwani donned the role. The video gives us a glimpse of the soap over the years and how it has evolved with a number of popular characters that have appeared on the show so far. Pavitra Rishta 2.0 is expected to be a tribute by Ekta and Ankita to Sushant’s legacy.

Pavitra Rishta was one of the most watched television soaps that aired on Zee TV, that starred the late Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande in lead roles. Fans were in love with the on-screen pair of Manav and Archana. With the series’ success, Ekta decided to bring back a new season of the soap this time on OTT. Ankita Lokhande is reprising the role of Archana Deshmukh and Shaheer Sheikh is stepping into the shoes of Manav Deshmukh.

Bhairavi Raichura, under the banner of 24 Frames Production, is helming the web series which will be streaming on ZEE5 exclusively for 55 days, after which it will stream on ALTBalaji, too.
