Priya Marathe was best known for her roles as Varsha in the television series Pavitra Rishta, Bhavani Rathod on Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, and Monica Kamat in Star Pravah's Marathi TV series Tuzech Mi Geet Gaat Aahe. The actress passed away at the age of 38 after a prolonged battle with cancer.
Priya Marathe's demise at 38
Priya was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago. Initially, she bravely fought the disease and successfully recovered, regaining her normal life. But, through a heartbreaking event, the illness returned. Despite new treatments, her body did not respond, and her condition deteriorated, ultimately leading to her death, as per reports. On 31 August 2025, she died at her residence in Mira Road at 4 am IST, as per reports.

Priya Marathe made her television debut with Ya Sukhano Ya and appeared in several other Marathi serials, including Char Divas Sasuche. Her first Hindi series appearance was in Kasamh Se, where she played Vidya Bali, and she later appeared in a season of Comedy Circus.
She played Varsha in the TV series Pavitra Rishta. The serial also starred the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande. Priya was also seen in a brief role in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain as Jyoti Malhotra. She also worked in a Marathi serial Tu Tithe Me in the negative role of Priya Mohite.
