Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan’s much-delayed Hari Hara Veera Mallu released in theatres on July 24, 2025. The film, which began as a Krish Jagarlamudi directorial, and was later completed by AM Jyoti Krishna, after the former walked out of the project owing to multiple delays in production, is a two-part saga. Pawan Kalyan had recently revealed that about 30% of the sequel has already been shot and that the team would shortly reconvene to figure out further shooting schedules based on the reception to the first part.

Destination Battlefield for Veera Mallu

If the feedback from the film’s first show is anything to go by, it seems that audiences are not entirely impressed with the action drama, which ended in a cliffhanger, that is meant to lead in to the sequel. The makers have, however, revealed the title of the second part as well – Hari Hara Veera Mallu Yuddhabhoomi (Battlefield).

The overwhelming sentiment right now is that after a strong first half, the second was quite messy, with audiences speculating that the latter bits were put together by Jyoti Krishna and Pawan Kalyan, who’s even choreographed action blocks, in the absence of Krish. Some even pointed out that the cliffhanger ending was unnecessary and leaves Part 1 with an incomplete feel.

The film revolves around Pawan Kalyan’s Veera Mallu, who steals diamonds from the Mughal Army. When he is captured by Qutub Shah (Dalip Tahil), the latter sends Veera Mallu on a mission – to steal the Koh-i-Noor from emperor Aurangzeb (Bobby Deol).

It has, reportedly, been made at a budget of Rs 250 crore, so Hari Hara Veera Mallu has quite an uphill task to recover this, especially given that the initial reports have been middling.
