Peaky Blinders is coming to an end. The final season of the show i.e. season 6 will start streaming on Netflix soon. The show started airing on BBC from January 27 but it will take longer to start streaming on OTT.
Peaky Blinders season 6, according to a report on Variety, will release on Netflix in June. The makers have reportedly decided to make the series available for streaming on the platform from June 10.
The show is best known for the lead actor, Cillian Murphy, who plays the role of Tommy in the show. He has also produced this TV series.
This time around, though, Peaky Blinders will miss one character – Aunt Polly. Helen McRory, who played the role of Aunt Polly, died of cancer last April. While remembering her Cillian told the portal that even though her character is not a part of the final season, her presence will definitely be felt throughout Tommy’s journey in the season.
The actor also confirmed that the season is dedicated to the actor. Calling the series ‘special’, Cillian added that everyone was committed to working extra hard and that is likely to please fans of the show.
There is another good news for fans of Peaky Blinders. While the TV series might be coming to an end, it is not completely an end for Peaky Blinders.
After season 6, the makers are likely to be associated with another project – a spin-off. This time, they are looking at creating a movie out of Peaky Blinders. The film adaptation is already reportedly in the works and will go on floors in 2023.
