The upcoming horror-comedy flick of Yogi Babu, titled Pei Mama is all geared up to have its theatrical release this Friday, on September 24. Makers of the movie recently made the confirmation on its release.
Talking about the team of Pei Mama, the movie is directed by Sakthi Chidambaram, of Englishkaaran and Kovai Brothers fame. Pei Mama also features Malavika Menon, Naan Kadavul Rajendran, Kovai Sarala and MS Bhaskar among others in pivotal roles. The horror-comedy flick is bankrolled by Vignesh Eappan under the banner of Bakiya Cinemas. The soundtrack of the movie is composed by Raj Aryan, for which MV Panneerselvam has cranked up the cameras.
Netizens recently even trolled the poster of Pei Mama, which has striking similarities to Vicky Kaushal’s horror movie Bhoot: The Haunted Ship. They even mentioned that the poster was lifted directly to fit in with Yogi Babu and the title of his upcoming horror-comedy. They felt that the face-swapping technique was used to replace Vicky Kaushal’s image with the Tamil actor.
Meanwhile, the story of Pei Mama seems to revolve around the life of Yogi Babu who gets embroiled in a series of supernatural, yet comical events when he gets associated with incidents that have no connection to him. The trailer that was released previously featured Rajendran and veteran Tamil actor Rekha, donning ghost-like avatars and spooking the viewers with their bizarre attires.
Get ready to grab a bowl of popcorn and have a laughing riot while also being spooked during the screening of Yogi Babu’s Pei Mama, in theatres this Friday.
