Pekamedalu teaser: Vinoth Kishan plays a directionless entrepreneur desperate to make it big

Pekamedalu is an entertainer produced by Baahubali, Evvarikee Cheppoddu actor Rakesh Varre under Crazy Ants Productions. Popular Tamil actor Vinoth Kishan, Anoosha Krishna play the lead pair in the film written and directed by Neelagiri Mamilla. After releasing the first look, motion poster, the makers unveiled the teaser in the presence of cast, crew and Das Ka Dhamki actor-director Vishwak Sen.

The glimpse commences with the protagonist introducing himself as Laxman, a non-happening entrepreneur about whom his father doesn't have many kind words to say. He is desperate to make it big and lands in trouble owing to his unconventional decisions. How does the carefree yet directionless protagonist make progress? The film promises to be a funny coming-of-age tale.

Vinoth Kishan, the lead actor isn't new to Telugu cinema, having acted in Havish starrer Genius and Sundeep Kishan's C/O Surya. He's a known face in Tamil cinema and has also been a part of Malayalam projects. Pekamedalu, however, is his first as a lead in Telugu and he gets a quirky, funny part, going by the teaser. Anoosha's character hasn't been introduced in the teaser yet.

The unique premise, witty writing and the filmmaking are expected to be the major highlights of the underdog tale. Hamza Ali, Sreenivas Ittam, Neelagiri Mamilla have written the screenplay for the same. Hamza has co-edited the film along with Srujana Adusumilli. Haricharan K is the cinematographer of the film while Smaran Sai is the composer. Bhargava Karthik has written the lyrics and dialogues.

The makers confirmed that the trailer will be launched soon and the film is expected to release this August. Rakesh Varre, the producer starred in both parts of the Baahubali franchise and essayed a key role in Goodachari as well. Evvarikee Cheppoddu, his film as a lead actor and producer, alongside Gargeyi Yellapragada is currently streaming on Netflix.
