The family entertainer marks the directorial debut of Gowri Ronanki
This Dussehra festive season promises to be a feast for Telugu film lovers with multiple releases. Pelli SandaD is one of the many films slated for theatrical release, all geared up to test its fortunes at the ticket window on October 15. Directed by Gowri Ronanki, the film stars Roshann (actor Srikanth's son), Sree Leela, Rao Ramesh, Jhansi, Prakash Raj, Vennela Kishore, Shakalaka Shankar, Posani Krishna Murali, Rajendra Prasad in key roles. Incidentally, Pelli SandaD also marks the acting debut of veteran filmmaker K Raghavendra Rao (who is also the film's directorial supervisor).
Pelli SandaD is a quintessential family entertainer where the film's lead protagonists bond at a wedding and overcome all hurdles that come in the way of their union. The film is a spiritual sequel to K Raghavendra Rao's 1996 release Pelli Sandadi that starred Srikanth, Deepti Bhatnagar, Ravali, Sivaji Raja, Brahmanandam and others in important roles. Pelli SandaD is a modern-day upgrade to the 25-year-old film but is expected to follow a similar template. Roshann has already acted in a film titled Nirmala Convent while Sree Leela has done a handful of Kannada projects in the past.
The team has been extensively promoting the film across various mediums over the last week. One of the major reasons that'll help Pelli SandaD draw audiences to theatres is the music by MM Keeravaani. Songs like Premante Enti, Yamuna Nagarilo are a rage with music lovers already. Baahubali makers Shobhu Yarlagadda, Prasad Devineni and Madhavi Kovelamudi are producing the film. Pelli SandaD has dialogues by Sreedhar Seepana. Cinematographer Sunil Kumar Nama, editor Tammiraju and art director Kiran Kumar Manne are among other technicians part of the project.
