Since the time You started in 2018, fans have sent bizarre messages and requests to the lead actor Penn Badgley who plays the role of Joe Goldberg. The actor has called out the fans for fangirling over a stalker and a murderer. But this time, it was slightly different. On Wednesday, a fan tweeted to Badgley asking him to kidnap her. The actor chose to respond but also revealed that he is not mad.
The fan's tweet read as "@PennBadgley ayoooo kidnap me." To which Badgley replied, "Idk why but when “kidnap me” is prefaced by “ayoooo” it has a completely different ring to it and I’m not mad."
In other news, Cardi B and Badgley are having fan moments with each other. It has happened to this length that they have kept their Twitter display photos as each other's photos.
Meanwhile, back in 2019, the Gossip Girl alum had spoken about his character Joe and how he is dangerous in the age of social media.
As per reports in ANI, the actor told at an event, "I think Joe reveals the unsettling logic that a lot of us are following in the worst way on social media. But, then I think in the best way it is a tool and there's nothing inherently wrong about that tool at all."
Talking about the synopsis of You season 3, Joe (Badgley) and Love (Victoria Pedretti) are now married and raising their baby. They have moved to the balmy Northern California enclave of Madre Linda, where they’re surrounded by privileged tech entrepreneurs, judgmental mommy bloggers, and Insta-famous biohackers. Although Joe is committed to his new role as a husband and dad, he fears Love’s lethal impulsiveness. There's also his heart, which thinks the woman he’s been searching for all this time live right next door.
You has been renewed for the fourth season.
