Pennu Case: Nikhila Vimal's comedy film gets a new release date; Deets here

The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Pennu Case, have finally announced an update on its release date. It has been confirmed that the comedy drama, starring Nikhila Vimal in the lead role, will hit the big screen next month.

The movie will hit the big screen on January 16, according to the latest poster as well as the trailer which was released on December 19. So far, no other Malayalam films have announced their theatrical release date in the coming month. Pennu Case, which was earlier slated to premiere in November, was postponed due to unspecified reasons.

The trailer gives an introduction of the key characters and plot of the comedy drama, which centres around Nikhila Vimal, a young woman who deceives men into marriage. Speaking to a group of guys who had come to the police station to try to resolve their discord after being tricked by a young woman posing as their prospective bride. Hakim Shahjahan looks to be a police officer in charge of this case. However, it's unclear why this woman commits such illegal acts.

Through a humorous series of circumstances, Hakim's character seems to be delving into the root of this predicament. In the trailer, Nikhila, who recently starred in Get-Set Baby and Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, gives yet another charming and humorous performance as the protagonist.

This film marks the directorial debut of Febin Sidharth. Irshad Ali, Aju Varghese, and Ramesh Pisharody all have significant roles in the Pennu Case. Praveen Raja, Shivajith, P P Kunhikrishnan, Dhanesh Koliyat, Anarkali Nazar, Kiran Peethambaran, Ranji Kankol, Abin Bino, Sanju Sanichen, Akhil Kavalayoor, Hari Pathanapuram, and Sreekanth Vettiyar are among the supporting cast members of the film, which was finished in April of this year. Sunu V, Ganesh Malayath, and Jyothish M wrote the dialogue for the movie, while Reshmi Radhakrishnan and Febin Sidharth created the screenplay.
