Permanent Roommates, directed by Shreyansh Pandey and starring Sumeet Vyas and Nidhi Singh, is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
The much-loved romantic television show Permanent Roommates finally returns for its eagerly awaited third season. The sitcom, starring Sumeet Vyas and Nidhi Singh as the charming couple Mikesh and Tanya, revives its charm after a protracted pause after captivating audiences for its first two seasons. Following the release of the episodes, people have engaged in binge-watching sessions, and social media is filled with all the love for the on-screen couple.
In an exclusive interview with OTTplay, when asked if people's anticipation and fan following add extra pressure on the actor, Sumeet Vyas said: "One must take this pressure in a very positive way. Because then the intent behind making the story is always that ‘oh we have to think of a newer story, more relevant story, the kind of story people would be interested in,’ rather than just following the track where ‘oh let’s try a formula that let’s do something funny or let’s do something serious or let’s put some drama.’ So the intent behind making a show has to be ‘to tell a good story’.
Adding to this, his co-star Nidhi Singh said, "The intent should generally be this and not because of feeling the pressure. Of course, we are aware of that but that is a fortunate thing.”
