The trailer of the much-awaited first ever web series on the ancient bull-taming sport Jallikattu was released recently. The trailer gives us a peek of the sport, the relationship of the bull and its owner, the caste politics involved in it and much more. Kalaiyarasan, who headlines the project along with Kishore, plays a bull tamer and his performance in the trailer has won a lot of appreciation. Kishore, who impressed the audience in Ponniyin Selvan and Kantara, is once again seen in a fine form in the trailer. The web series is helmed by Rajkumar, a former associate of director Vetri Maaran and has music by Santhosh Narayanan. Interestingly, the Viduthalai director is bankrolling the series.

In the meantime, a number of fans of the director are calling Pettaikaali a prelude to Vetri Maaran's Vaadi Vaasal as the film, too, revolves around Jallikattu. The shoot for the Vaadi Vaasal is yet to begin but the pre-production is underway. Suriya has been training for his character as a bull tamer in the sport and has even bought two bulls and have been taking care of them to get into the skin of the character. We hear that just like Pettaikaali, Vaadi Vaasal, too, will revolve around the relationship between a bull and its owner.

Vetri Maaran is busy working on Viduthalai starring Soori and Vijay Sethupathi. The film, which will be released in two parts and is said to be a crime thriller, has an ensemble cast comprising Gautham Menon, Soori, Prakash Raj, Rajiv Menon and Chetan. The shooting for the second part is underway. Suriya, on the other hand, is busy working on Suriya42 helmed by Siva. He will also be seen in his mentor Bala's Vanangan and in a guest appearance in the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru, which is directed by Sudha Kongara.
