Malvika Nair, who impressed one and all with a terrific performance in Naga Chaitanya’s coming-of-age saga Thank You, is back in action with the breezy romance Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi. She reunites with actor Naga Shaurya after Kalyana Vaibhogame for the love story, written and directed by Srinivas Avasarala. The film is hitting theatres tomorrow i.e. March 17.
Ahead of the release, the actress interacted with her fans over a live chat on Instagram through the social media handle of the production house, People Media Factory. The Taxiwaala girl was casual, simple and relatable in her interaction while discussing her life and many interesting aspects of the film. In response to a question about her favourite director, here’s what she’s said.
“I think it’s a controversial question and it’s hard to pick a favourite. However, Nag Ashwin will be a special director in my career. No matter how much work I’ve done after Yevade Subrahmanyam, people still remember me for my performance in the movie,” the actress shared. They later reunited for Mahanati, in which Malvika essayed the part of Gemini Ganesan’s first wife Alamelu.
“There aren’t many people who make you fall in love with yourself. Nagi helps you discover yourself and embrace your persona, the way you are. When you’re with him, you come back feeling happier,” she spoke highly of the director’s ability to make his actors feel special. Both films, Mahanati and Yevade Subrahmanyam, were bankrolled by the iconic banner Vyjayanthi Movies.
After Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi, Malvika Nair will be next seen in another romantic entertainer Anni Manchi Sakunamule, whose teaser was unveiled recently. The film is directed by Nandini Reddy and Malvika is paired opposite Santosh Soban in the project. Ashwin Kumar, Rajendra Prasad, Gauthami, Vasuki and others essay crucial roles in the feel-good saga.
