KV Anand's period romantic thriller, is said to be inspired by the 1963 film Nenjam Marapathillai. Anegan has both Dhanush and Amyra Dastur portrarying four looks. The film is based on the theme of reincarnation, where Dhanush and Amyra are brought together in their fourth birth and finally reunite. The film's plot revolves around their many lives and their love story in different shades.
Kayal (Hansika Motwani), a cellist residing in France, learns that Kamal (Jayam Ravi), a businessman, who is holidaying in Paris, is in danger. She saves his life. However, Kayal's life turns sour when she realises that she has fallen for Kamal but he has returned to India. Harris Jayaraj's music are a treat to the ears in this film, directed by Prabhudeva.
