Right from its premieres in the US earlier this morning, the film didn’t open with positive word of mouth. Through the day, several netizens expressed their disappointment on Twitter, calling the film ‘bland’, a huge ‘bore’ and said that the film had the vibe of a documentary. Most comments blamed the director for the chapter-wise narration, while hailing the performances of Naga Shaurya, Malvika, the cameo of Harini Rao and Kalyani Malik’s music.

While a viewer said he at least expected a ‘minimum guarantee’ fare from the team, another netizen advised the makers to release it OTT directly this weekend. A Twitter user shared the film would be a total washout at C centres, with several others concurring with him and advising viewers to skip it in theatres. Box office reports suggest a below-average opening for the romance.

Srinivas Avasarala too essayed a brief role in the film whose supporting cast comprised Megha Chowdhury, Ashok Kumar, Abhishek Maharshi, Srividhya, Varanasi Soumya Chalamcharla, Harini Rao, Arjun Prasad. Sunil Kumar Nama and Kiran Ganti are the cinematographer and the editor respectively. Azmat Ansari(UK), John Murphy(UK), Ramakrishna are the art directors.

Sun NXT acquired the streaming rights of the romance while Gemini TV has the satellite rights. The story revolves around two college sweethearts Sanjay and Anupama as they navigate the highs and lows in the relationship over a decade. One of the producers, People Media Factory, also backed hits like Dhamaka, Karthikeya 2 recently.
