Although the film doesn’t boast a huge star cast, director Vishnu Bharathan’s upcoming venture Phoenix has garnered a lot of attention ever since the release of its first look. Now, the makers have released the second poster, which is quite similar to the earlier one. Divided in two parts, the poster showcases two different time periods and characters. The movie features actors Aju Varghese, Anoop Menon and Chandhunadh, among others.

The new Phoenix poster gives off an eerie vibe

The poster is divided into two parts. The top half features Chandunadh’s character and a woman beside him, creating a romantic mood. It also evokes a bright ambience with Chandunadh’s character donning a white feather.

When it’s seen upside down, the poster shows Aju Varghese’s character with his three children and a dark feather. Additionally, some people carrying five coffins are also seen in the bottom half. Compared to the top half, the bottom half of the poster gives off a dark and eerie vibe.

Judging from the poster, the film may have two subplots, similar to Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Ezra. The initial poster of the film also raised curiosity because of similar details. The poster featured Aju’s character and his family standing on a boat. However, when the poster is seen upside down, the reflection shows one more person.

Phoenix’s cast and crew

Anjaam Pathiraa director Midhun Manuel Thomas has penned the script of Phoenix, which is touted to be a horror thriller. Along with Chandhunadh and Aju, Anoop Menon also plays a pivotal role in the film. Phoenix is backed by Rinish KN, under the banner of Front Row Productions. Sam CS, known for his work in RDX: Robert Dony Xavier and Vela, has composed the music for Phoenix, lensed by Alby. The film’s shooting was completed in June, and it’s currently in the post-production stage. Phoenix is slated to hit the theatres in November, along with Garudan, another film scripted by Midhun, starring Suresh Gopi and Biju Menon.
