Srinivas Avasarala, Ravi Varma, Easwari Rao play crucial roles in the film that gears up for a theatrical release on December 15. The drama’s trailer was launched today.
The trailer begins with a discussion between two people - Srinivas Avasarala and Easwari Rao - about spirits, life after death, if people seek redemption after leaving their body. The backdrop later shifts to an abandoned house in a village in the 90s, where Anthony, his wife, two daughters and his mother move in. The elderly woman has her own doubts about the past of the house.
Right after their arrival, they experience a series of eerie events at the house. The children are immediately affected, they hear strange voices and the grandma senses an influence of a spirit. With the arrival of a spirit healer, the family realises that the house is haunted by multiple spirits. There’s a reference to ‘mahalaya amavasya’ - a crucial day if the parents plan to safeguard the life of the younger child.
Easwari Rao has yet another dialogue towards the end, where she tells it’s impossible to restrict an object’s internal power even if they destroy it physically. The captivating premise, innovative cinematography and the background score instantly catch your attention and the makers have attempted a sensible horror drama without exaggeration or cliches.
