Pawan Kalyan is on a roll these days. While his ambitious period drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu is nearing completion, three of his films - Ustaad Bhagat Singh, Vinodhaya Sitham remake, untitled project with Sujeeth - officially commenced recently. The Vinodhya Sitham remake, tentatively titled PKSDT, starring Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej is directed by Samuthirakani.
Produced by People Media Factory in collaboration with Zee Studios, Pawan Kalyan has allocated bulk dates for the Vinodhaya Sitham remake and the shoot is progressing at a brisk pace. However, an unexpected surprise came our way today, when the makers went onto confirm the film’s release date. The untitled film is set to hit theatres worldwide on July 28, 2023.
Beyond the lead stars, the film also features Ketika Sharma, Rohini, Brahmanandam, Tanikella Bharani, Subbaraju, Priya Prakash Varrier and Raja Chembolu in key roles. Sreeleela is also rumoured to be seen in a special appearance in the film. Trivikram has adapted the screenplay and wrote the dialogues for the project, which underwent extensive pre-production.
S Thaman is composing the music for the film. The project marks Samuthirakani’s return as a director in Telugu cinema; he had last helmed the Nani, Amala Paul starrer Jenda Pai Kapiraju and is well known for his critically acclaimed drama Sambho Siva Sambho. The producers are believed to be very happy with the pace at which the director is wrapping up the film.
Meanwhile, the multistarrer PKSDT, much like the original, is expected to arrive on ZEE5 after its OTT release. Another film of Pawan Kalyan, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, was in the news for the casting of the female lead Malavika Mohanan, though the latter denied any such reports. Recently, Ravanasura director Sudheer Varma stated that he’s in talks with Pawan Kalyan for a project.
