Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul Creator Vince Gilligan’s latest project is a science fiction drama, Pluribus (PLUR1BUS) starring Rhea Seehorn in the lead. Rhea played Kim Wexler on Better Call Saul, a role for which she’d got two Emmy nominations. Pluribus, according to the makers, follows the world’s most miserable person, who has to save humanity from happiness. The first season of the show will debut shortly, ahead of which, a trailer was revealed.
Pluribus to get a 2-episode start
Pluribus was commissioned by Apple TV+ with an initial 2-season run. Season 1 will kickstart with a 2-episode premiere on November 7, 2025, followed by new episodes every Friday until December 29. The season will have a total of 9 episodes. Rhea is joined by Karolina Wydra, Carlos Manuel Vesga, Miriam Shor, Samba Schutte and Peter Bergman on the cast.

In the trailer, Rhea’s Carol is the most miserable person in a world full of happiness and everyone around her is desperately trying to make her feel a tad better. “We just want to see you happy,” says a character, with the larger picture being about figuring out just why she isn’t like the rest of them. According to the official synopsis, Pluribus is set in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where author Carol Sturka (Rhea) is the only person immune to an unexplained virus that transforms the world's population into content and optimistic citizens.

Apart from Pluribus, Apple TV also announced new seasons of Hijack (Season 2/January 14, 2026), Shrinking (Season 3/January 28, 2026), Palm Royale (Season 2/November 12, 2025), movies like The Family Plan 2 (November 21, 2025) and F1 The Movie (December 12, 2025), as well as a new detective thriller series, Down Cemetery Road (October 26, 2025).
