Police complaint lodged against Srabanti

Srabanti Chatterjee’s name gets involved in another legal case. The Kaberi Antardhan actress makes headlines due to the turmoil in her love and married life. However, this time a group of gym members filed a complaint against her on account of forgery. After a few months of separation from her husband Rohan, Srabanti opened a gym named The Fitness Empire in Madhyamgram's Star Mall. The gym started its journey in November 2020. The actress did a grand promotion on social media and was also present on the opening day. 

Many people paid a lump sum amount of yearly subscription fees to be admitted to the gym. A celebrity like Srabanti’s presence attracted many gym enthusiasts. She opened the gym with three people named Anwar, Abhishek, and Soumya. But the gym suddenly shut down, that too without informing anyone. The trainees tried in vain to contact the authority. Then they went to the police. 

Srabanati appeared in an off-shoulder green gown on the opening day. They celebrated by cutting cakes. She was heard in the promotional video, “Welcome everyone to my new world, The Fitness Empire. For the first time, I came to do something in the fitness industry which is outside my acting field. You are my god, you have made me, and hence I will ask you to come and shower me with love.” The last post from the gym's official page took place on 6 March. The subscribers vented their anger in that post, too. 

Advertisements of offers were made even at the beginning of 2023. The yearly subscription fee was Rs 18,000. The one-time admission fee was Rs 7,500. Besides, Rs 4,000 more was to be paid for the personal trainer's fee. After admission, it was the Holi vacation. Then the gym shut down suddenly. The cops of Madhyamgram police station did not yet take any steps. The deceived people said that they took admission because of Srabanti. It was unthinkable to them that they could be deceived in such a way. They are also anxious about how to get the money back. 

Srabanti told the news media, “Those who paid the money will get everything back in time. There are some reasons why the gym shut down.” According to her, she was too busy with her work to pay attention to the gym. However, the actress assured everyone that the subscribers will get their money back.
