Ponman, the recently released 2025 Malayalam film starring actor-filmmaker Basil Joseph, Lijomol Jose and others, is set to stream on JioHotstar from March 14 onwards. The Malayalam film will also be available in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu languages as well, along with English subtitles.

Basil Joseph, who has been delivering hit after the other, recently starred in the 2025 Malayalam film titled Ponman. The film released in theatres in January, and following the theatrical run, will soon make its OTT debut. JioHotstar has bagged the streaming rights and will run the film in its original language, as well as in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
Besides Basil, the film also stars Sajin Gopu, Lijomol Jose, Anand Manmadhan and Deepak Parambol, among others, in prominent roles. It is based on the novel Naalanchu Cheruppakar penned by GR Indugopan. Art director Jothish Shankar, who has worked in family dramas like Kumbalangi Nights, and Android Kunjappan Version 5.25, has made his directorial debut with Ponman.
The film is set against the backdrop of Kollam and a gold dealer named PP Ajesh who lends gold jewellery for Bruno's sister Steffi’s marriage. After the promise to return the gold is not adhered to, Ajesh has to confront Steffi’s husband to get the gold back. The film opened to positive reception.
