Ponniyin Selvan 2: Manisha Koirala meets Bombay and Dil Se director Mani Ratnam, goes down the memory lane

The team of Ponniyin Selvan 2 held a special screening of the film in Mumbai today. The film's director Mani Ratnam, his wife and actress Suhasini Mani Ratnam, along with Vikram had flown down to Mumbai for the screening. Accompanying the trio in Mumbai was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who arrived with her daughter Aaradhya. The Bollywood celebrities who attended the screening included Manisha Koirala, Anil Kapoor, Aditi Rao Hydari, Kartik Aryan, Jim Sarbh, Sayani Gupta, Shriya Saran and Sham Kaushal.

Manisha Koirala was on cloud nine after meeting the director of her critically acclaimed films, Bombay and Dil Se. Manisha praised Mani Ratnam and called him a treasure. She said that every film made by the director is a masterpiece. After sharing a series of pictures with Mani Ratnam on her Instagram handle, Manisha wrote, "His movies have mesmerised people across globe..each of his film is masterpiece!! From #anjalifilm to this ps2 his latest.. we just love his #films !! Once again..sir you are a treasure (sic)!!"

She also praised Ponniyin Selvan 2 and sent her love to the team. "My love to the entire team .. all the actors who performed brilliantly all the technicians who has excelled in this film huge congratulations (sic)."

The actress also went down memory lane shooting for Bombay (1995). She stated that the film was still vivid in her memory. "Such humble man #maniratnam sir is and such a great film maker !!! I remember working with him was intense but so fulfilling..we artists long to working with directors who push our limits and help us to excel..He always tries to do things differently! My first day of shooting for #bombay is so fresh in my mind.. (sic)."

Manisha also thanked actress Suhasini Mani Ratnam for helping her during the iconic Humma Humma song. "It felt home meeting him and @suhasinihasan ji (who is accomplished actress herself, infact had helped me in #hamahama song , for the preview of his latest film #ps2 (sic) !!
